What is the cost
of Invisalign?
The cost ranges anywhere from $4000 to $6000 depending on the
expected treatment time.
Does my insurance cover Invisalign?
Invisalign therapy falls under most guidelines and criteria for
orthodontic services.
Can I finance my Invisalign?
Yes. We offer financing for our orthodontics, Invisalign
and cosmetic cases. Click here to find
out more.
Can I use my Flex Spending Account (FSA) for Invisalign?
Yes. In fact, you should really consider this option to
maximize your tax savings. Talk to your accountant or HR person.
What are "buttons"?
Buttons are small, custom fabricated handles made out of
composite materials which are then bonded onto certain teeth. Not
all teeth need to have buttons placed on them. The purpose of the
button is so that a tooth can move more predictably. These buttons
are removed from your teeth at the end of treatment.
Will my teeth or the aligners stain?
If you drink a lot of dark beverages (coffee, tea, soda, red
wine) and do not clean your aligners thoroughly, you'll notice them
staining slightly more every day. However, you are only wearing
each aligner for 2 weeks.
The staining on your teeth will again depend on how well you clean them.
If you follow the home care regimen, you should notice very little
staining. However, any staining you might notice is easily removed
during your regular dental cleanings.

Does Invisalign hurt?
Soreness is expected for a few days following the start of a new
aligner. A new aligner is usually started every 2 weeks.
How do I know what to expect?
Upon initial consultation and exam, you should express your
concerns and what you want corrected. Once the proper records are
obtained, a CAD/CAM design is usually ready in 3 weeks for review.
Upon inspection and necessary modifications, the results observed are
very close to the achieved results.
In certain and rare instances, it is determined that some additional
aligners might further improve the achieved results. At our
office, there is no additional charge for this.
I am told I need to pull some teeth for braces. Can I still
do Invisalign?
The answer depends on what teeth need to be removed and for what
reason? If one lower front tooth is really crooked or is behind or
in front of other teeth, you can have the tooth removed and do
Invisalign expecting good results. However, if 4 premolars need to
be removed, it usually is best to have
regular braces.
Will my speech or eating be
affected?
For speaking, more than likely yes. Especially during the first
couple of weeks.
Your eating or more precisely chewing will be affected to the extent
that it has been planned for. In other words, if we are changing
your bite on purpose then your chewing will be maximally affected.
If your bite is not what is being corrected though, then you should
expect very little changes to your eating. |
